Technical Rebellion

After all these years, it appears there is a bit of technological rebellion in me.  When others were purchasing Palm Pilots, I chose to buy an iPaq.  While it appears Kindle is the average ebook reader of choice, I have a Nook.  Today, even though the iOS is quite popular, I love my Android gadgets.  So, here's the thing.  As technically rebellious as I can be, technology holds a strong place in my life. ;-)

APPLES & DROIDS & RIMS! OH, MY!! Part I - Comparison

Smartphones appear to be the new norm in cellular telephones. With the wide variety of operating systems on the market today, how is one to know which is best. Well, stay tuned as I post weekly the pros and cons of each for the remainder of the month.

Reliability Comparison:

According to a study by SquareTrade, Inc. (http://www.squaretrade.com/pages/cell-phone-comparison-study-Nov-10), the iPhones4 rated the highest percentage of accidents and drop incident damage. Ironically, they also are the most reliable with the least percentage of failures from accidents.

At the opposite end of the results in this study are Blackberries. The Blackberry rates lowest in the percentage of accidents and drop incident damage, yet has the highest rate of failures from damage.

That being said, an iPhone 4 may be the best choice for you. But, if you are hard on phones. if you are in the group cell phone users that rarely damages their equipment, you may need to make your choice based on a different criteria.

STAY TUNED!
